Very Pleasant Experience

I'm a busy IT professional with an interest in existential philosophy. I cannot sit down with a dictionary to constantly look-up academic words or be in a library to prime myself on what this author said vs. what that other one said... a style of writing many philosophy commentators employ.
But not this author. It was a pleasure every time I picked up the book during my lunch hour, after hours, and during my commute. I could easily pick-up where I left off. None of that run-on meandering philosophers like to do. The most I had to re-read a passage was twice, and mostly because I could not believe how well I understood what was written.
I laughed out loud when I read "[...] But the now should be distinguished from the present. The present is the content of the now [...]" (p. 245). I could not believe what I read. This agrees with my other interest, secular spirituality.
In short, a joy to read. A wonderful and very accessible writing style. A very pleasant nature came through of the author. Never had to re-read any passage more than twice.
