Oncology is a field very much different from the prototypical foci of Orthopaedic residents in training, and I found this to be an excellent review on the subject of Musculoskeletal Tumors. Very well organized and edited, and very easy to read. The figures, including radiographs and photomicrographs are well chosen and representative of the subject matter, which is a monumental accomplishment in and of itself. I found this text useful in preparing for my Orthopaedic In-Service Exam, which has a strong focus on Pathology, and it was invaluable in preparing for my Orthopaedic Oncology rotation as well. Would highly recommend to all Orthopaedic Residents as well as all Orthopaedic Oncology Fellows, and even Fellows and Junior Attendings in non Orthopaedic fields related to the treatment of bone and soft tissue cancers, such as Pathologists, Musculoskeletal Radiologists, Medical Oncologists, and Radiation Oncologists. The treatment of Musculoskeletal Tumors requires a multidisciplinary approach, and this is an up-to-date and all-encompassing text on the subject that clearly captures and defines the Orthopaedic Oncologist's mindset.
